I have always had an aspiration for entrepreneurship growing up, but knew I needed a solid foundation to help overcome the hurdles and lessen the financial and emotional stress of trying to achieve social mobilization as a minority woman in this country. With that in mind, I set a course to obtain a degree in the medical field, and to work a job in that career until I had enough money to open my own business. I graduated from DePaul University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science. After graduation I worked at Rush Hospital for 3 years as a support technician until 2020 when I took the leap of faith, and started my first company called The AMG Transport Lines, LLC. 

 

The AMG Transport Lines begin in 2017 with one sprinter van, and within two years, we have been able to scale our company to a fleet of 32 trucks. Our company has always been focused on rapid and responsible growth, and we now have plans to begin investing in electric and autonomous vehicles as an addition to our fleet. This will be a positive step towards our voluntary participation in this nation’s efforts to combat global warming by taking steps to decrease our carbon footprint. 

 

Our short-term goals include opening our truck driver school, and moving into our new 7200 sq ft facility located in Matteson Illinois. Our long-term goals include expanding our fleet to 100 trucks by the year 2025, and training 100,000 low income individuals to drive commercial trucks and obtain their commercial drivers license (CDL).
